A Visit to Fish Lake

On the way back from our coffee break, we stopped at Fish Lake to check out the campground.  Fishing is known to be better than Lake Wenatchee.  There are 100 campsites which surprised us.  We had been there before and didn't realize there were so many.  They are tucked around the shore in the woods. We walked around the loop to see how they compared.  Lots of pine trees and some sites had views of the surrounding mountains.  Sadly, the lake was recently closed due to extremely high toxic algae levels.  In the camp store, we saw pictures of 4-5 pound trout caught by happy fishermen as recently as September 21.  The Health Department was advising not to eat anything caught in the lake till the algae clears up.

Duck wishing he had a ride?

This little guy was watching us from the our rear truck tire.

It had been raining so these campers erected a huge tent fly over
their site.

Not many campers during the week.
